"This summer, we were lucky enough to visit PEI and Anne's Village in Cavendish where I bought one of your beautiful sweaters. It is actually a men's design but it was so warm and 'snuggly' I just had to have it! I did want to mention that -- coming from Australia where wool has a reputation for being of a high quality -- yours was the only one that passed the test!"

Welcome!

Welcome to Knit Pickers’ 2007/08 Collection! All of my sweaters and tartans are created in my studio in Charlottetown, PEI. In the summer, I hope you will visit me at Avonlea Village in Cavendish, PEI. I may answer to the name of Marilla Cuthbert, Rachel Lynde or Mrs. Spencer. Regardless of who I might be that day, you will certainly find me weaving on the traditional Celtic tri-loom - the same loom I use to create my tartan shawls, capes, throws and ponchos.

My new site is under renovation, please be patient.  It will be up and running very soon!

You will soon be able to browse through my webstore. It will not only introduce you to my newest designs and returning favourites, but to a whole host of talented artists, actors, musicians, craftspeople, tourism venues and events, and even a golf pro!

So - sit back and enjoy a piece of Prince Edward Island!

All of my luxurious sweaters are made from the finest merino wool. These original and traditional designs celebrate our heritage and reflect the colours of our country's land and sea. Each sweater is pre-washed and steam-set to help retain its shape. They can be gently hand-washed in cold water and laid flat to air dry.

My tartan shawls, capes, ponchos and throws are hand-woven on the Celtic triloom in 100% wool from Atlantic Canada. Shawls and throws feature hand-knotted fringe; capes and ponchos are finished with a hand-crocheted border. Capes and shawls are accessorised with handcrafted Celtic knot shawl clasps. These pieces are designed to withstand the rigours of day-to-day wear in the ever-changing Canadian climate. In fact, the more they are used, the softer they become! They can be hand washed in cold water and laid flat to dry.
